Rewarding the Awarding.

Jackson's school awards a child from each grade level and class an award for Citizenship, Most improved academically, P.E., Art, Music, and the Principal's Award. Jackson came home with a letter from school the other day inviting us to the ceremony, but did not list which award he would be receiving.

The ceremony started. I really had no idea what we were in store for. After going through the list. Finally they reached "The Principals Award" which our little man ended up receiving due to his Reading and Math. What an exciting moment! We're so proud and happy for our Jackson! Jackson kept telling us about his reward(award). I told him that in a sense it is a reward for him being such a good student.

Jackson with Principal Carter.
Our sweet little man thanked Mr. Carter for giving him his award, and NO, I did not prompt him to do it, he did it on his own.
Ok i'll stop bragging.
We're just super proud of him!

Here's the video.

Their First Father-Daughter Dance.

Last year, I had the opportunity of photographing some wonderful Father-Daughter couples at SDA's First Annual Father Daughter Dance. This year I decided to send Avery and Brandon to the event. Im so glad I did! The Smith couple had a ton of fun movin' and a groovin' on the dance floor to the music. I think Avery might have worn Brandon out. Our little lady won a FREE car wash from the raffle, while I stayed behind the lens to capture the sweet moments of Daddies and their little princesses.

The Dentist.

Another cavity FREE trip to the dentist. Which I expected since they are tooth brushing pro's. The dentists ended up pulling another top tooth of Jackson's that was ready to come out. He's
now toothless again.

Lost and Found.

We found it! This is my Grandmother's dress that had been missing since she passed away in January of 2008. As I was going through a few things in a hall closet at her house preparing my Uncle for his big move, I came across a plain white trash bag. As I opened the bag and looked in, it seemed to be a very expensive table cloth. I was about to put the bag down but felt pressed to open it all the way.... my heart started racing, I jumped up from the floor and ran through the house to find Mom. OMG I found it, I found the dress! We were so thrilled to find this missing piece of history that has puzzled us all for over 3 years.

The Three...NO! Wait...Four Little Pigs.

Brandon had a friend to catch a few piglets. Initially I agreed to keeping ONE. With in a week we accumulated two more. I now count four little piglets in our pen. The kids and their friends do enjoy having them to feed and observe. I think Brandon's plans might be a bit different later on down the road. At least for now they are cute and low maintenance pets.

The Swing.

Here are a few shots of Brandon practicing his golf swing .....
