Calling All Models.

I just invested in new lighting equipment a few weeks ago and since the biz has slowed down a bit, I had some free time within the past few days to test the lights. In order to do so I had to gather a few models up for the shoot. Here is a preview from one of the shoots. Does my model look familiar? If you follow the link to the other models you'll find that they couldn't resist getting into some Christmas candy from Grammy. Yeah just wait until you see their precious messy faces. Oh and then there is Brandon....

A Very Merry Christmas.

<-----Our tree that has been decorated/ undecorated 10 + times. Imagine that.

We hope each and everyone of you had a Very Merry Christmas! Our 3 very excited little children woke up early Christmas morning to discover the presents Daddy and Mommy had blessed them with. Jackson was so thrilled to open his long awaited skateboard/ equiptment, so he can finally take skateboarding lessons. Yay! He enjoyed taking it for a spin , he's actually not to bad for never having been on a board before. Im excited to see what he can do after his lessons. Avery found another baby doll to add to her collection plus some pretty dancing shoes and accessories so she can start her ballet lessons. Daddy and Avery spent time playing with the My Little Poney's that Aunt Ali and Tera gave her. Along with fixing each others hair. After they tired from that they lounged on the couch and watched an episode of the Magic School Bus. As for Mr. Harrison, he enjoyed his candy treats, thats why we call him piggle, lol!. He was honestly content with the wrapping paper and

he really enjoyed UNdecorating the tree this year.

Familiar funny face?

Family Portraits.

I felt so frustrated this year with taking our family portrait. For those of you who recieved the card, just know it took about 30 shots to get a halfway decent one and I can't blame it on Jake for his camera skills, its just hard trying to get three kids under the age of 5 to take direction. Can you tell i'm a perfectionist? Golly I hate it. I continue to pray thru this year that God will remove that horribleness.
After we got thru the family shot I reclaimed my camera and captured a few moments of the kids playing in the leaves.

Avery loved it the most. She would fall straight back into a pile of leaves and kick her feet up in the air and giggle. You'll see what i'm talking about when you follow this link-->

Enjoy!

We will miss you.

This post is in memory of my beloved Grandfather, Mr. Choyce Johnson. The Monday before Thanksgiving the Lord put on my heart an urge to go visit him and celebrate Thanksgiving before we went out of town. If I hadn't listened to my heart I would have regreted it. For I would not have gotten a last hug or to tell him how much we loved him. I am so, so, Thankful God gave me that last chance of saying goodbye. Unexpectedly, on the morning of December 2, Granddaddy passed away, living to be 86 years old, he lived a long and prosperous life. I will always cherish the sweet memories that I have of him and Nanny on the farm . I will never forget our Sunday lunches and Tractor rides. For their lives have passed thru this world, but glory to God, for I will rejoice in knowing we will meet again.

T-Day

This T-day we decided to pack up the fam and head to South GA to spend Thanksgiving with Brandon's Grandparents. We really enjoyed seeing everyone and catching up. I was to busy being chatty, that I forgot to take pictures of the kids with everyone. So a few days to follow we ended up taking Jackson and Avery to a park in Hazelhurst while Grandma watched Harrison to get a few updated moments. Brandon and I enjoyed being big kids too as you will see is this picture album.

Finally.... Jackson's 5th Birthday Post.

I honestly can't complain about the busy photography season I had this year, but the only down fall about the biz-e-ness was that my nights we're consumed with editing other peoples pictures instead of my own.
So now after a month and a half, I present to you Jackson Daniel Smith's Dinosaur-i-fic 5th Birthday Bash.

Jackson had such a great time with friends from school and his family.

His party took place at a local park where we started off with face painting and a Dino dig,

we then journeyed across the shoals to our Dino egg hunt, then crossed the bridge to our final stop for cupcakes along with a few other games.

We were so blessed to have such beautiful weather for our event. After the party's end we went back to the house for presents, and to Jackson's surprise he had a train table waiting for him. After all these years. Lol! Check out the rest of Jackson's Party pics by following this link--->

09' Halloween

Here's a glimpse at our families 09' Halloween.

Jackson as Spiderman.

Avery as a China Doll.

Harrison as a cuddly Bear.

Halloween day ended up being really yucky weather wise. We made the best of what we had though.
We had my lovely friend Tiara and her son Brayden (Harrison's Pal) meet us at our house to take some pictures. Since the boys were wild animals, Tiara and I decided to be safari guides. I feel like you are never to old to dress up for Halloween.
After our mini-shoot. We headed to our spot of tradition, Marsha and Steve's Home (Ashley parents) to meet up with a ton more kids, friends, and family. By the time we were ready to Trick- or- Treat there was a big pour down. When it let up slightly Brandon and I along with a few other parents and older kids decided to head out. We ended up leaving the babies along with Avery and Harrison at the house with Grammy and Pa since it was to yucky, they still made out with the candy though. Check out our pictures by clicking on the link below.

Counting Down..

We're on the count down. The kids (mainly Jackson and Avery) are ready for Halloween. They had a blast Monday night at a local event our town had for the kids. We met up with Avery's friend Savannah and her family for a crazy chaotic event with a million kids present in about a 1300 square ft room. What can I say after a broken back and sore feet from random kids stepping on them, my kids were satisfied to say the least. If their happy, I'm happy, not to mention exhausted.

Can you guess which super-hero Jackson is going to be?

Avery's costume clue: I have a porcelain complexion but am as cute as a doll, I'm from a foreign land, use a weird fork in hand, Who am I?

Harrison's costume can be described as brown, round, and cuddly, Who is he?

Pumpkin Patch

I took the children to our local pumpkin patch just to take a few pics. We decided to pick one up from a friends batch of Pumpkins instead. So the kids and I stayed for about 30 mins to get these few shots.

Jackson's Action at the Patch.
Such a strong little guy to pick up a 20 lb Pumpkin. Close to it. It was as heavy as Harrison.

Avery
was caught by a lucky shot. One of my favorites.

Harrison
was only a few days old when he visited the patch last year. He enjoyed it alot more this time around.

Here is their group shot.

Harrison's One

Out of the three children, Harrison's First year has sped by the fastest. With that said, October 17th circled back around last weekend too quickly. We packed the little Smith's up and headed out to Grammy and Pa's for some cake and ice cream and a picture montage in celebration of a year of giggles, wiggles, and piggles. Harrison had a lovely time with is family and good buddy Brayden. Grandma and Kate were so sweet in making the trip to help us celebrate. For the one's who couldn't make it, you were in our thoughts.
Aunt Becca did such an awesome job with Harrison's giant cupcake cake. It was so yum! For more pictures follow this link. You might have to copy and paste to address bar, sorry.

Hope you enjoy!

Im so excited!

My art work is hanging on walls. Finally!
I started a project for a Dance Studio a few weeks ago and it is now hanging on their walls. The other exciting news is that this particular studio was chosen to be used for a episode of the MTV show MADE , some of you may be familiar? Be on the lookout for a cameo appearance of my art work. Harrison Update.

Somebody is about to turn ONE! Can you believe it? Because we can't. Our little Harrison seems to get cuter and cuter each day. Of course I would think so since I am his Mom. He has such a sweet personality to cheer up any gloomy day. I am so anxious to release his most handsome birthday pictures. Harrison also has a video to come out too in dedication of his first year. I will post links as it gets closer to his special day. Piggle aka Harrison loves to play more than Avery does with Avery's pink kitchen she got for her birthday. We think he might be a chef. Hey, what lady doesn't love a man that can cook, right? We are so often stopped so people can look at his fratboy ensemble. Even though he has to wear his brothers hand-me-downs, his fro and baby polos are all the time getting him attention which he loves. He's so much fun.

Avery Update.

Our little girl has become such a little chatterbox. Avery and I have started working on a regular basis with flashcards among other learning curriculum. Her favorite word/thing is a "Sea Star" aka "star fish". Anytime she sees the shape she is quick to say " Sea Star". Its precious. It is so nice to have a little more time to spend with her one on one. She is such a fun little person. She has become very vocal. She loves to sing. We have started listening and dancing to music. We have been having a ball together. We are amazed on how much she has grown.Time please STOP.

Jackson Update.

Our little man, as I so often say, is growing up too quickly. We are so proud of his accomplishments in school and at home. During our sick days, Jackson and I had some time to catch up on some reading. During this time he read to me his first book, Thomas and the Great Race , All BY HIMSELF! We are so proud of him! Reading has always been a favorite past-time for him. I knew at 2 when he was able to name all 80 characters on the Thomas the Train site, that he was quick to learn and associate words. His teachers are amazed at his memorization. I have to say its pretty impressive. EVERY child is bright and each child has their strengths. Jackson has this great strength of memory. We are so excited to see what this school year has to bring for him.

Three Sick Little Piggies.

September , has been a month of illness for us. Since Jackson has started school our sick days have been non-stop. The worst for us has seemed to pass. Jackson was diagnosed with Influenza A (the swine Flu) about two weeks ago. Harrison also showed signs of the flu as well, but their doctor decided to treat all three children, just to be on the safe side. We are thankful that we all have it out of our systems, but through the course of the infection our days were rough. The H1-N1 is to be taken of course seriously as with any infection, but the odds of it being fatal, are not as likely to happen unless the person has a secondary infection ( such as pneumonia). I won't lie. My heart was racing when the doctor told us his test was positive, but no worries they are perfectly fine. We thank everyone for the many prayers that were said for our family!

The HarryTomato

I know, the title sounds gross. The mess was a little gross to clean up too, but Mr. Harrison had a yummy time gorging on one of Grandma's Garden tomatoes. His mess was PRICELESS. This took place about a weekago. I had set him on the counter while choosing his babyfood in the cabinet above. He was so dang hungry he couldn't wait on me any longer he decided to chow down on this succulent tomato. I thankfully had the camera on the next counter over to catch this HarryTomato in action.

Baby on the Go.

I have been meaning to post these pictures of our baby on the go. Harrison started to become mobile towards the end of July and he's loving it.

Jackson's First Day of School.

Jackson and I woke up a bit earlier than what we usually do, 6:00AM, had breakfast,
got dressed,
brushed his teeth,
snapped a few pics,
and we we're on the road by 7:10. It only takes about 10 minutes to get there. So we got there a bit early. Better early than late, right? Jackson being the good student that he is, was the first one there.

So Miss Sarah let him be the first to choose his symbol. Can you guess what he picked?

Yep, you got it, the train.

Then Miss Sarah asked him to match his symbol to the cubby symbol to find his cubby.
And what do ya know, he found it.
Jackson waited patiently to meet his new classmates. They all started to pile in at a quarter till 8 , all 18 of them. So that was my cue to say my goodbyes. Jackson walked me to the door and said that he would

"SEE ME LATER. "

I held back the tears, that is until I walked out the building. I don't know,I couldn't stop crying......My baby is in school. It just hit me. A ton of memories flooded my head. Geezzz ..Im going to start crying again.

Ok you got the picture.

So fast forward to 2:30. Avery, Harrison, and I picked big bro up. His teachers said the day went well, and that he did great! On our car-ride home, Jackson told us all about his big day.Oh and he has a new friend Cole. He can't wait for tomorrow.

Jackson's going to Pre-K

Jackson starts Pre-School tomorrow, Aug.17th . Can you believe it? Jackson and I had such a great time yesterday shopping for a bookbag, this is what he liked best. We we're unsucessful at finding an orange bookbag. He loves dinosaurs though, so he was happy. After we purchased the bookbag we headed over to CHUCKY CHEESE. We had tons of fun, just me and my little man. Check back in with us to view his first day at school pics, plus the teachers notes about how our little man did. Im excited, yet a little sad. We'll see how it goes.

Avery's Two.

WoW! I really cannot believe our little girl turned two last Saturday. Avery had a great time with family @ Grammy's house as we celebrated her second year of life. I figured since she was turning two, Tutu's would be the perfect theme, and it was . The girls had a blast, us big girls did too! Lol!
Avery finally got her pink play kitchen we had so patiently waited for. She absolutley loves it! Such a great investment!

Oh yeah... Pa decided to turn on the waterhose and spray the kids down. It was completely unexpected but they enjoyed ever minute of it.If you'd like to checkout more pics from Avery's celebration follow this link http://share.shutterfly.com/share/received/welcome.sfly?fid=7d9b71ad0a794886c9f3edf1ebadc1fb&sid=0Cbt2bFuzZsnlg

The Creek.

Last Saturday the kids and I set out to visit Aunt Nan & Uncle Dan. Going to there house as a little girl it seemed to take forever. Where we live now its alot closer only a mere 20 minutes (plus my attention span is alot better).Lol! I asked A.N. if she could give me directions (just in case). As soon as we turned on Macendonia Rd. My memory was revived. So we took a left and a right and right again and before we knew it we were there. The last time I saw their house they had not yet enclosed it with a fence and the color was a light blue shade. I mean it has totally been transformed into the cutest little cottage/farm house. Simply adorable! As we parked the kids were excited to see all the animals. Aunt Nan and the gang were so sweet in showing us around their farm. From ducks to goats to their horse named Rainey. So many friendly animals. Sam and Elliot made me feel OLD. Gosh those boys have grown so. They are very sweet and very well mannered young men. Jackson and Elliot bonded, while Sam and Avery made good friends. Sam is so much like I was when I was little.** Note to self: I'll have to add him to the Baby-sitters list. The boys showed us their rope swing which resides right above a small creek. Jackson, of course being the adventuresome being he is jumped on to swing. This visit really showed me how much we've missed with our family. I know living our lives can sometimes be hectic, but it is so nice to catch up with family faces.
