First Friday.

Our town's local businesses host a family night on the first Friday of every month. I decided to take the kids to
October's. They enjoyed bobbing for apples. Avery decided if she couldn't grab the apple with her teeth then she would use her hand. She got a lot of laughs from that strategy, eating popcorn (Harrison's fave), making bubbles out of homemade contraptions and lastly a hay ride around the block. Fun Day. Fun Night.

Halloween is in the air.

Its officially Halloween season today, and we are thrilled! After getting Jackson on the bus and eating breakfast, Avery, Harrison, and I head to Halloween Express. We arrived a few minutes before they opened so we have to wait. Once Avery and Harrison saw the lady coming to the door to open it they started dancing with excitement, I really don't think they know what we're getting into. The doors opened and that's when the fun started. Harrison had nothing to do with trying anything on. I tried for the garden gnome and he started pitching a fit , but Avery on the other hand LOVED it. We tried on almost every costume in her size...First we pulled out the red wig and fins and she transformed before our very eyes into Ariel the little mermaid.

Ah... No! I don't think reds her color.

Then there was Dora. That was a definite no. Good golly that wig was awful.

Next we tried on the blonde wig and she was Sleeping Beauty,
then a Barbie Fairy,

another Mermaid,

a buccaneer. Cute but not loving it.

and last but not least I present to you Princess Avery!

The best one yet. However, we ended up leaving the store empty handed. We still have 30 days to decide. I think we'll keep brainstorming. What a fun time we had.

Rainbow.

As we were loading the van with groceries in the Kroger parking lot I happen to glance up at this beautiful rainbow. Man how I love these things. Its funny how they show up when I need reminding of God's many promises for my life.

Jackson's First School Project.

Jackson's "all about me" project. Ok so maybe I helped him lay it out but everything that was put on it was his idea. We had fun working together.

Jackson.

Princess Avery .

Princess Avery is her name she likes to be called Pink Kitty and Pink Monkey just the same!

I must say these 3 years have been wonderful but once again have really zoomed by. I think back to the day she was born and Jackson was coming up on three, now she is three ooooo weeee.

This year we decided to give the little princess a different kind of birthday.
She has been needing new furniture to store her many clothes, on top of being the only girl she needed her own room and we promised her a few months ago when she finished potty training now that she was a big girl she could get her princess bed that we had picked out about 8 months prior. So this past weekend, we shipped the kids off to Grammy and Pa's and I had my Mom and Dad (Billy) come in to help with the painting and such.
Party time . 2:30 arrives and our birthday guest are here. Grammy and Pa arrive with the kids at 2:45 and the Princess enters the house where she finds her door wrapped up like a big present. Daddy and her open the door , her little face was priceless. She LOVES her princess bed! We let her look around for a minute then we crowned her and her friends Princesses and Princes for the day with a Tiara and Crown Ceremony. Next, her armoire has a draw full of dress up clothes. So Avery, McKenya, and Paisley dressed up like princesses. We let the kids play, and then we put on princess music and Jackson and Avery took over the dance floor. Its too cute. I taught them a few months ago how to dance. The cake was next. Yum Yum! Nobody makes cake better than my sister. Avery then opened presents and got some really nice things. Thanks to everyone who came! For the ones who couldn't come you were in our thoughts. Enjoy!

I couldn't have done it alone! Thanks goes out to My Mom and Dad (Billy) for ALL of their help. Phil and Sharon for taking on the three munchkins so we could work hard. Becca for the delicious cake! Ryan for the trim paint. And last but not least Brandon(Daddy) for ALL of his hard work!
